Looking for inspiration from our longsuffering Lord, I came across this passage in the Bible. I felt it to acknowledge the suffering that many try to conceal or are embarrassed of or afraid to show as it is the most vulnerable place of their soul when exposed. When this suffering is finally revealed, it is often received with a deep, loving concern. I attempted to acknowledge and portray the sufferings of the world through Jesus`s stripes and simultaneously reveal the deep, fiery pathos within my soul that is longing to help to extinguish this suffering.
